383 Commando is recruiting now. 383 CDO Troop is responsible for the handling, supply and storage of bulk fuels under front-line combat conditions. Because we serve as part of 3 Commando Brigade, Royal Marines, our soldiers are expected to pass the All Arms Commando Course, thus winning the right to wear the green beret.

In the recent past we have served in Afghanistan, deployed to the Falklands, and carried out training exercises in Cyprus, Germany and Norway. In addition to maintaining the unit's ‘Pet Op’ skills, members of the troop are positively encouraged to exploit the army's Adventure Training opportunities; recent courses attended include Nordic and Downhill Skiing, Canadian Canoeing instructor courses in Scotland and North Wales, and Mountain Leader training in Snowdonia. We have a 'work hard, play hard' mentality underpinned by a strong Commando ethos. If you are considering joining the Reserves then drop in for a 'wet' and a chat, or give us a call to find out more about serving in a Commando unit.
